Nepalese in Russia has set up the new tradition to celebrate NRN day on 12 July of ever year ( in the context of same holiday " Russia Day" ) organizing a grandios picnic program with various attractions like cultural program, painting and sports. NRN day of 2009 became the historic due to the significant weekly program of INLS Moscow Chapter and 10th anniversary of online media freenepal .com, which has been being operated from Moscow. Popular and respected literuer Dr. Dhruva Chandra Gautam and Dr. Govinda Raj Bhattarai were invited to award them with " Jaya Prithivi-Ivan Minayev Shrashta Samman" for their nonstop contribution to the nepalese literature. In the same way Kiran Man Chitrakar was also invited for the exibition of historical photos of Nepal and Dinesh Basnet, editor of Freenepal.com, was envited to carry out the 10th anniversary program and media support.
